Sessions Gives Rare Endorsement in HD 30 Race

U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions Alabama Yellowhammer Politics

Republican candidate for the special election in House District 30, Mack Butler, received a major boost to his campaign when U.S. Senator and conservative stalwart Jeff Sessions announced his endorsement of Butler’s candidacy this week. A vacancy in the House District 30 seat was created after Rep. Blaine Galliher received an appointment to serve in Governor Robert Bentley’s cabinet.

After receiving the news from Senator Sessions, Butler remarked, “I am truly honored by Senator Sessions’ endorsement of my campaign. He is a conservative stalwart and great representative of Alabama values.” Butler also stated, “I look forward to doing my part to stand with Senator Sessions to fight the current overreach of the federal government and work to create jobs and improve the economy in Alabama.”
