BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The inaugural Sloss Fest was already set to be one of The Magic City’s biggest attractions this summer, but by revealing its long-awaited final headliner Monday, the music festival probably just earned even more attendees.

The Avett Brothers, a folk rock band from North Carolina, completes the festival’s lineup, joining Modest Mouse, Band of Horses, and Primus as well as Birmingham’s own St. Paul and the Broken Bones.

The two-day festival at Birmingham’s historical Sloss Furnace will host 32 different bands on three stages July 18-19th.

This will be the first time the Avett Brothers have returned to Birmingham since 2012.

Tickets for Sloss Fest, which is produced by Red Mountain Entertainment, can be purchased on its website.
