A mobile, on-site fuel delivery startup headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama has shown tremendous growth in several key areas over the past few years.

Fuel Fox, founded by Ben Morris in 2018, offers a unique service that operates like a mobile gas station. It delivers gas directly to its members’ vehicles, which can be parked at work, the mall, the gym, or other locations. This service is especially beneficial for individuals with busy schedules and for company fleets.

The company’s innovative idea has experienced a rapid amount of success since its beginning. In the first seven weeks of making fleet deliveries alone, FuelFox generated overr $100,000 in revenue.

FuelFox’s annual revenue jumped from $357,000 in 2018 to $20 million in 2023, according to the company.

A major contributing factor to FuelFox’s growth was the Alabama Alabama Small Business Development Center Network (ASBDC), the company says.

The resource group assisted FuelFox by identifying potential clients, exploring new markets, seeking investors, pursuing procurement opportunities, and raising capital.

The ASBDC Capital Access Program also helped FuelFox evaluate and apply for relief funds before ultimately securing $115,000 in PPP funding.

One year into operations, FuelFox had already developed multiple fleet accounts, started paying salaries, and was dispensing thousands of gallons of fuel monthly.

The employee count at the company has risen from 1 to 18, and the company has gone from owning a single truck to 16. Service locations have also now expanded to Birmingham, Charlotte, and Memphis, with franchised locations set to open in the near future in Nashville and Atlanta.
