College football fans planning to follow Alabama and Auburn on the road this season will have new nonstop travel options, thanks to added flights from airlines serving Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM). The expanded service is aimed at helping fans reach major away games with less hassle and more speed.
According to the airlines, the new flights will typically depart BHM on the Friday before each scheduled game and return on Sunday.
Here’s a breakdown of the new nonstop offerings:
American Airlines:
- Auburn at Baylor (Waco) – August 29
- Auburn at Oklahoma (Oklahoma City) – September 20
- Auburn at Texas A&M (College Station) – September 27
- Alabama at Florida State (Tallahassee) – August 30
- Alabama at Missouri (Columbia) – October 11
Southwest Airlines:
- Auburn at Baylor – Additional flight to Dallas Love Field on August 29
United Airlines:
- Additional inbound flights to Birmingham for Alabama home games against Wisconsin, Tennessee, and LSU
Delta Air Lines:
- Flights to Birmingham for Alabama’s home matchups against Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Oklahoma
These added flights will also make it easier for opposing fans to get to Birmingham for the big games. All flights are currently available for booking through the respective airline websites.
