U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) is criticizing Democrats’ “fake outrage” over President-elect Donald Trump appointing Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk to head the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

DOGE will be tasked with rooting out wasteful spending and inefficiencies that currently exist in the vast federal government bureaucracy.

Moore said Monday that Democrats should be more concerned about the national debt, pointing out how the Pentagon failed yet another audit.

“Our country is $36T in debt, and the Pentagon has failed its seventh audit in a row, but Democrats are fake outraged that [Vivek Ramaswamy] & [Elon Musk] are leading [DOGE] to ensure your tax dollars are being spent responsibly,” Moore said on X. “What does the DC swamp have to hide?”

According to the Department of Defense, the Pentagon failed its seventh consecutive audit on Friday. This means the agency was unable to fully account for its massive $824 billion budget.
