According to an online poll of USA Today readers, the Shoals’ largest city, Florence, is the best small college town in the country. Jacksonville, home to Jacksonville State University, was third. Alabama was the only state with two cities in the top 10.

The Alabama Supreme Court was called to order Wednesday morning inside the Guillot University Performance Center at the University of North Alabama. The court’s proceedings included oral arguments, which provided students, faculty, and staff with a chance to see the judiciary in action and learn more about Alabama’s court system.
