James Spann: Cold, dry days ahead for Alabama

After over two inches of rain over the weekend, there is no sign of any new snow or ice issues for Alabama for the next seven to ten days.

James Spann: Warmer days ahead; rain by Thursday

With sunshine in full supply today, temperatures rise into the upper 30s across the Tennessee Valley, with 40s for the rest of the state. The warm-up continues through mid-week; we reach the 50s tomorrow, and by Wednesday the southern half of the state will see highs in the 60s.

A bitterly cold Arctic airmass will roll into the Deep South on Sunday, the coldest of the season.
