The only option left for the President to get a shot at getting funding for a border wall is for him to declare a national emergency and move on.
Democrats, who saw their leader reject the President's latest offer before he made it are now proposing a bill that includes what some are calling a smart wall with drones and upgrades at ports of entry.
The math is obvious, Moore can win a Republican primary, but in a general election he will depress Republican turnout and excite Democrats, he will keep Jeff Sessions old Senate seat blue.
Both Democrats and Republicans are bringing long-shot bills to the Senate in attempts to appear like they are doing something on the government shutdown without actually doing anything.
Every Martin Luther King, Jr./Robert E. Lee Day and every Confederate Memorial Day we hear the same thing: “Why are we celebrating the losers of the Civil War?” Every year, I remind people that the United States government declared Confederate soldiers to be veterans of the United States of America’s armed forces. Even with that said, […]
Even though Trump has compromised on three issues, to some in his base's chagrin, Speaker Nancy Pelosi attempted to kill the compromise before the President even made his statement offering the deal.
Jackson closes the show with a "parting shot" directed at every member of Alabama's Congressional delegation that has remained silent when Alabama could lose a Congressional seat due to illegal immigrants counted in the the 2020 Census.
After Speaker Pelosi went after the SOTU, President Trump waited until she was towards a fueled and prepped 757 for a Congressional junket and he pulled the plug, forcing the delegation to exit their busses and head home.
None of these things were necessary, but President Donald Trump has options to circumvent her ploy to embarrass him. He can't let her do this.
Pelosi's aggressive decision to cancel the SOTU is being met with resistance from within her own party, Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) says it is the "wrong approach" and "Where I come from in West Virginia we just don’t act this way."

If you are Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) right now, you probably know you have almost no chance of being elected to a full term as a United State senator. This obviously could change. Roy Moore could continue to crave the spotlight and enter a Republican primary field in 2020, but this is obviously a long-shot for […]
With no end in sight, the President declared he will "never back down" because he is doing what he pledged, adding, "I'm not interested. I want to get it solved. I don’t want to just delay it. I want to get it solved."
Neither side's supporters are going to punish them for sticking to these positions. This leaves one option: National emergency declaration
It is now day 24 of the partial government shutdown, the President has backed off his threat of an emergency declaration over the weekend, his party is still being blamed for the shutdown, and there seems to be no end in sight.
7. Trump White House is preparing for life after Ruth Bader Ginsburg — The Trump White House is preparing for the possibility of a vacancy on the Supreme Court if Ruth Bader Ginsburg vacates her seat. The confirmation process will surely be an ugly and contentious one. — The 85-year-old justice missed oral arguments for […]
7. Alabama lawmakers are seeking a legislative solution to the embarrassing situation with Maori Davenport’s situation with the Alabama High School Athletic Association — The AHSAA suspended the star player over an errant payment from USA Basketball and has, up to this point, refused to revisit the case stating the current rules don’t allow it. […]

With no end in sight for the government shutdown, President Trump will take to the airwaves to make his case to the American people that there is a "Humanitarian and National Security crisis on our Southern Border".
Politicians lie, they waffle, they spin, and this is generally to be expected. As a result, no one should be surprised that junior Senator Doug Jones (D-AL) is less than willing to admit, or believe, that dirty tricks helped him defeat Roy Moore. But let’s be honest about this conversation: Jones had a lot of help. Before […]
After a meeting between Vice President Mike Pence and Democrats, Trump tweeted that we are moving closer to a deal with steel, "We are now planning a Steel Barrier rather than concrete", Democrats disagree saying, "no progress was made".
