Auburn men’s golf team visits White House after national championship triumph

The Auburn Tigers’ men’s golf team had a historic 2024 season that ended with the school’s first national title in program history.

Led by terrific freshman Jackson Koivun, who joined the legendary Rickie Fowler as the only two freshmen to win the prestigious Ben Hogan Award, the Tigers triumphed to victory and brought a national championship back to The Plains.

This week, Tiger golf was honored at the White House along with several other NCAA championship teams.

“You have fought back and fought through. By doing so, you demonstrated that true greatness requires more than skill. It requires grit and determination,” Vice President Harris can be heard saying in the video shared by the golf team’s social media.
