Auburn lands new quarterback from transfer portal over the weekend

The Auburn Tigers have signed a new, talented quarterback via the transfer portal. The team announced this weekend that it will be adding former Oklahoma Sooners’ signal-caller Jackson Arnold to its roster.

Arnold, a former 5-star high-profile recruit and No. 3 overall player in the class of 2022 spent two years with the Sooners program before deciding to enter the portal this cycle.

For Arnold and Oklahoma, things did not go as planned in 2024. Struggling through offensive line and wide receiver injuries,  Arnold threw just 1,421 yards and was benched early in the season for poor performance.

However, he would go on to improve after returning from the bench and helped the Sooners defeat Alabama in what was a decisive nail in the coffin for the Crimson Tide’s season. Arnold threw for just 68 yards in that game but rushed for 125 and was critical in helping the offense.
