Alabama’s Will Reichard wins Senior Bowl practice award

With Senior Bowl practices coming to a close this week, former Alabama kicker Will Reichard left an impression on scouts in Mobile.

Reichard was named as the top practice player at his position and the best specialist on the American team after an impressive week in which he was seen making field goals from as far as 60 yards out.

During this past season, Reichard elected to return to Alabama for his fifth year of eligibility and became the NCAA’s all-time scoring leader along with Alabama’s career record holder for field goals, 50-plus yard field goals (10) and PATs.

In the final game of his Alabama career at the Rose Bowl, Reichard converted two field goals from over 50 yards out in the loss against Michigan.

Reichard was a member of the American team along with two of his Alabama teammates, Chris Braswell and Justin Eboigbe.

Now he turns his focus from Alabama to the NFL with the goal of kicking professionally for a franchise. An impressive week in Mobile at the Senior Bowl will carry Reichard a long way towards taking the next step in his kicking career.
