“Hey, Mr. snake. You’re a long boy.”

If the conversation had stopped there, most of us could probably relate.

It’s not uncommon in many parts of Alabama to see a a Grey Ratsnake or an Eastern Garter Snake slithering around the yard. And when the occasional rattlesnake or water moccasin pops up, it may be necessary to get out the garden hoe and take care of some business.

But one Alabama woman was not satisfied with acknowledging a snake in her yard and moving along.

“That’s the snake skin we saw; it was yours, huh?” She asked, moving closer with her cell phone’s video camera coming in for a National Geographic-style shot.

“I’m going to touch you on the tail and see what you do.”

You’re kidding, right?

“Whoa, you’re mean,” she says as the snake coils up, moving ever closer. “Are you a bad snake?”

Wait, ma’am. Stop!

Too late.

In summary, watching this video with probably lead to a reaction something like this…
