The Alabama Crimson Tide landed a massive recruiting win on Saturday afternoon, securing a commitment from Mississippi wide receiver Caleb Cunningham.

Cunningham, a Choctaw County native, who is rated as the No. 2 wide receiver in the country, the No. 1 player in Mississippi, and the No. 13 overall player nationally in the class of 2025.

Cunningham committed to Alabama after a long battle between Ole Miss and Mississippi State. Auburn also entered the conversation during the latter part of his recruitment, but ultimately, Alabama secured his pledge.

“Unstoppable in red-zone situations. Strong-handed in traffic. Runs hard in run-after-catch situations and bowls his way through arm tackles. Long-striding gait that creates necessity for build-up speed. Natural route sense and spatial awareness,” Cunningham’s official 247 scouting report states.

The good news didn’t stop on Sunday either, with Alabama receiving a commitment from five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood. The Denton, Texas native is rated as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 11 overall prospect.

Haywood’s commitment pushed Alabama over Ohio State for the No. 1 class in the nation for the 2025 cycle.

Cunningham and Haywood are the fourth and fifth five-stars in Alabama’s 2025 class, joining quarterback Keelon Russell, offensive tackle Michael Carroll, and cornerback Dijon Lee.

The 2025 class is starting to take shape, and it could be a very special group in Tuscaloosa.
