Alabama political leaders reacted to an illegal immigrant being arrested in the state for raping a ‘mentally incapacitated’ 14-year old.

Pablo Mendoza, 23, was arrested on March 25 by Enterprise Police and booked into the Coffee County Jail. He is currently being held without bond pending a hearing.

According to court documents, the victim was “physically helpless or mentally incapacitated.”

U.S. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) blamed the president for the recent incident.

“I am heartbroken for this young girl and her family. I hope you’ll join me in praying for them,” Moore said. “Thanks to Biden’s policies, every town is a border town, including mine.”

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) argued that Biden is just helping these illegal immigrants break into the country and harm Americans.

“This is Pablo Mendoza,” Tuberville said on X. “He is an illegal alien who was just arrested in South Alabama for raping a mentally incapacitated 14 year old girl. [President Biden] is aiding and abetting these monsters.”

U.S. Senator Katie Britt, a native of Enterprise, warned Americans of the consequences of illegal immigrant crime wreaking havoc in communities across the country in the official Republican response to President Biden’s State of the Union address earlier this month.

U.S. Rep. Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) said this is just another reason we need to close the border now.

“My prayers and deepest condolences go out to this young girl and her family,” Carl said. “This should have never happened and is a direct result of Biden’s wide open border policies. We must close the border now and ensure justice is served.”

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) said he’s working with other members of Congress to try and hold the Biden administration accountable exasperating the crisis.

Palmer was referencing a letter sent to a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement official on Monday by House GOP leader.
