If you’re familiar with Alabama weather, then you haven’t been all that surprised with the June like weather we’ve been having. Still, with all the pumpkin carving and hayrides taking place, it would be a lot easier to enjoy the fall season if you needed a sweater instead of swim trunks. So, if you’ve been praying for colder weather, it looks like your prayers have been answered (at least for now)!

As a strong front made its way across the state Sunday night, so to came cool/dry air. As many made their Monday commute, they were greeted with a 20-degree drop in temperature.

Meteorologists indicate that the cool temperatures felt this morning should stay throughout the week. This means Alabamians can expect highs in the low 70s during the day, then cool nights in the low 50s and upper 40s.

The dry air, which is rolling in from the north, is also keeping humidity levels low. As a result, skies above Alabama should remain clear throughout the week and into the weekend.

So get out and enjoy the weather. If you’ve spent any time in Alabama, you know it won’t last for long.
