The University of Alabama National Alumni Association announced Crimson Tide fans located in the state of Florida will now be able to don an official, iconic license plate from the Sunshine State.

The national alumni association shouted out its Florida chapter for its continued and relentless effort in getting these plates to Florida. Specifically, both Will Moore and Les Yates were named.

Currently in Alabama, there are over 50,000 plates with the UA tag, and according to the university, over 97 percent of the proceeds from drivers purchasing them go towards funding for scholarship programs at UA.

Florida joins several other states in offering the Tide plate including Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee.

Residents of Florida can now officially purchase their new license plate regardless of tag status directly from the Escambia County Tax Collectors Office here.
