Alabama Congressmen hang with Willie from Duck Dynasty at State of the Union Address

The State of the Union address has devolved into little more than a pep rally these days. The president was interrupted 85 times for applause during his speech.

But there were some cool moments as well.

America was introduced to Cory Remsburg, an Army Ranger who was badly wounded during his tenth — yes, TENTH — deployment. He lay in a coma for months, then fought his way back to health through hours of grueling rehab every day. Remsburg was invited by the President to attend the State of the Union address and got a well-deserved standing ovation from everyone in attendance, not to mention the unending thanks of a grateful nation.

Then there was that crazy, possibly drunk guy behind the pre… wait, what? That was the Joe Biden? Never, ever change, Mr. Vice President.

But the biggest star in a room full of people who think they’re stars was probably Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame. Louisiana Rep. Vance McAllister invited the bandana’d reality TV star and his wife, Korie, to accompany him to the festivities.

At least three Alabama Congressman had their pictures snapped with the self-proclaimed “redneck millionaire” and his better half.
