It’s a mystery how Raven, a Birmingham cat, made a journey from the Magic City to Las Vegas.

Her owner, Tracy Cost, said Raven turned up missing in December 2021 and they searched continuously for her.

“I went out every day searching for her,” she told KLAS-TV. “I thought I was never going to find her.”

However, 2,000 miles away, Elizabeth McGloin of Las Vegas found Raven and took her in.

McGloin said she searched for a microchip to locate Raven’s owner and received a surprise when she realized just how far the cat had traveled.

Cost was notified that her pet had been found and was in disbelief.

“I can’t believe she was alive,” Cost said.

As soon as transport plans are worked out, Raven will be making the trip back to Alabama and her owner.
