Alabama and Auburn are two of just three undefeated teams in SEC play

The Yellowhammer State might just have the two best college basketball teams in the entire nation — and is continuously showing itself as the season heats up into the thick of conference play.

With the SEC as strong as its ever been, teams in the league are beating each other up already even just three games into the conference slate. The nine ranked teams in the league is rather unprecedented and they are already starting to beat themselves.

The Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers are two of just three undefeated teams left in conference play, joining the Ole Miss Rebels at the top of the SEC standings.

The Tide got to 3-0 with a road victory over the weekend at top-ten Texas A&M in what was a hard fought and hotly contested game. The Tigers on the other hand survived a thriller themselves, beating South Carolina in a matchup down to the end after losing star forward Johni Broome during the game due to injury.

Auburn will have a huge matchup this week against a ranked Mississippi State team on Tuesday night before hitting the road this weekend to face unranked Georgia.

At least one undefeated team will lose that mark in Tuscaloosa tomorrow night when Ole Miss comes to town before Alabama hits the road this weekend for another top-ten road matchup at Kentucky.
