Alabama AG Steve Marshall demands Biden stop undermining Trump’s return to White House

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall is calling on the Biden Administration to cease implementation of major policy decisions as its time in the White House comes to a close.

Marshall joined a group of state AGs from across the country in dispatching a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken demanding an end to the practice.

The law enforcement officials expressed particular concern about the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution meeting to negotiate an international plastics agreement. The States that signed on to the letter are urging Blinken not to enter into negotiations or agreements that could harm the efforts of President Donald Trump’s incoming administration.

“The will of the American people is clear: the failed policies of the Biden-Harris administration are for the history books,” said Marshall in a statement. “It’s time their administration stand-down, and not tie the hands of President Trump, simply to pacify a few of their voters, especially when it was abundantly clear that Americans want Trump leadership in the White House.”

Additionally, the letter emphasized that Blinken should listen to the American people and notify the Negotiating Committee that Trump will decide America’s position in the negotiations.

Alabama joined the Iowa-led letter, along with Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Montana, Nebraska, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, and West Virginia.
