Ainsworth highlights Donald Trump Jr. as ‘one of our nation’s top hunting advocates’

Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth visited with Donald Trump Jr. at a recent campaign fundraiser in Alabama. The conversation between the two centered on the economy and the prospect of a second term for his father, President Donald Trump. But it’s not just politics that Ainsworth and Don Jr. have in common. Both men are avid hunters.

Ainsworth’s love for the sport has been well-documented. Before going into politics, the Lt. Governor and his brother Austin opened Dream Ranch, a premier 14,000-square-foot, mountaintop hunting lodge in Guntersville.

”I grew up deer hunting with my dad, and just enjoying the outdoors, and thought I wanted to do something in the outdoor business,” Ainsworth recalled. “I did a project in school on opening up a hunting store in Guntersville. You had to put together a business plan, and I did all this research to show how a hunting store would work in Guntersville, based off the traffic count off of U.S. 431 and the population within a 30-mile radius.”

At one point, the Ainsworths said that one of their studs was the largest buck in the world, a 600 inch, two year old.

Trump. Jr’s affinity for hunting has also been well chronicled.

“If I’m in Colorado doing an event, I’ll sneak off for half a day and go fly fishing,” he told Politico in February. “Today, I had a pretty crazy day of conference calls, but I’m literally in the car, banging all of those out. I’m gonna go do a quail hunt in upstate Florida before I have to drive back down to Palm Beach to have a business dinner at Mar-a-Lago. … That’s my decompression from the five-speaking-events-a-day general lifestyle that will be my next, let’s call it a year.”

The President’s eldest son, discussed some of his fishing and hunting experiences:
