As reported by WKRG News, Hollywood is continuing their use of Alabama venues as they film a new supernatural thriller in Gulf Shores.

The movie, which is named “Mary,” will feature Owen Teague, who played Patrick Hockstetter in the recent horror film “It.” The new film’s plot will center around supernatural forces that take place at sea. While the entirety of the plot has yet to be released, it is confirmed that the horrifying events take place after a family purchases an old ship for their new charter business. Once the passengers reach isolated waters, the gruesome nature of the old ship is revealed.

Film crews are shooting in Orange Beach today, and they will move production to Bear Point later in the week.

Earlier this month, Nicolas Cage was in Mobile for his third film. While there, Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson gave Cage a key to the city and told him he was welcome anytime.
