ACEC Alabama announces endorsements

The American Council of Engineering Companies of Alabama announced its endorsements ahead of the Nov. 8 midterm election.

The endorsements include:

  • U.S. Senate: Katie Britt
  • AL-01: Rep. Jerry Carl
  • AL-02: Rep. Barry Moore
  • AL-03: Rep. Mike Rogers
  • AL-04: Rep. Robert Aderholt
  • AL-05: Dale Strong
  • AL-06: Rep. Gary Palmer
  • AL-07: Rep. Terri Sewell

ACEC consists of 52 state and regional councils representing more than 600,000 building and design professionals.

“We are thankful for the support our delegation provides the engineering profession,” said ACEC Alabama President Brian Hynniman. “We endorse candidates who share our commitment to enhancing and promoting the engineering environment both in Alabama and throughout the country.”

ACEC works with elected officials and department heads at the federal, state, and local levels. ACEC’s members are engaged in projects that propel the nation’s health, safety, and economy forward.

“ACEC has been and continues to be the leading voice and advocate in the engineering design industry for nearly a century,” said ACEC Alabama Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Steven Speaks. “We look forward to a continuing partnership with our elected officials to improve the business environment through political action and education.”
