A gas tax holiday in Alabama is not going to happen – and it shouldn’t anyways

With another issue in the Middle East, gas prices are rising again, and some lawmakers around the country are floating the idea of suspending the gas tax to provide relief.

Sounds good… but does it actually help?

Probably not, most of the cost we are seeing now is only temporary, but suspension of the gas tax could have real consequences for road construction.
