7 Things: Biden betrays Israel as Republicans pass aid package; Tuberville stands firm but seeks resolution; and more …

7. The Alabama Supreme Court has issued a 6-2 decision that says the state can kill murderer Kenneth Eugene Smith via nitrogen gas, the first time it has ever been used in the United States. This will be the 2nd attempt to put Smith on ice after a failed lethal injection.

6. State Rep. John Rogers (D-Birmingham) to stay in jail until he has a “suitable residence” and a chaperone to make sure he won’t violate the terms of his release again by contacting witnesses. Probably not helping his case, Rogers’ defense attorney referred to the man Rogers called as a “snitch.”

5. Anti-Semitic U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Minn.) will not be censured over her comments because Republican members felt there are free speech issues in censuring a member over their political speech.

4. Alabama’s first openly transgender mayor, Smiths Station’s Bubba Copeland (aka Brittini Blaire Summerlin), has engaged in far worse behavior than originally thought. One of the images shared by the Baptist pastor shared included a local brother and sister (their father wanted those images to be taken down when reported on) with the terms, “Take the shots, get implants, become the whore.”

3. While many U.S. Senate Republicans attack U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn), he is making it clear that he will not waver as he seeks a resolution to the Biden Defense Department’s illegal abortion policy. And even as one-term U.S. Senator, never-going-to-be Attorney General, Doug Jones (D-Mountain Brook) whines, reporters are finding that Alabama voters support Tuberville on this.

2. The U.S. House passes a financial aid package for Israel that does not include support for Ukraine and also defunds part IRS, setting up a battle with the U.S. Senate. This decision was backed by all of Alabama’s Republicans and opposed by U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (D-Birmingham) voted against it because it does not provide humanitarian aid for Gaza and she also made a puzzling claim about “billions in tax giveaways to the rich.”

1. President Joe Biden already noted that a ceasefire only helps Hamas re-arm and fortify, now because of his fear of a splintering Democrat party of anti-Semites and the people afraid of them, he is calling for a “humanitarian pause.” Despite what the media and their Democrats tell you, they are the same thing.

Alabama’s reading and math performance is improving, and even outlets like The New York Times are taking notice. The state made changes that broke from traditional education approaches, and early results are strong enough that other states are now being urged to follow similar models. This video looks at what Alabama changed, why it worked, […]

7. NCAA President Charlie Baker says the organization is not in a position to further sanction Alabama for playing Charles Bediako during his temporary eligibility under court order, as losing in court does not allow punishment of the winning party, so Alabama’s three wins will remain intact with no record vacating required, despite teams like […]
