# 7 – Luther Strange

7_squareLuther Strange | Alabama Attorney General

State Attorneys general are well positioned to be one of the states’ primary weapons to push back against the overreaching Obama Administration. Whether on ObamaCare, EPA regulations or any number of other issues, Strange has proven to be an able frontman for Alabama’s ongoing efforts to beat back the federal government.

On the political side, Strange has an unbelievable capacity to raise money. His fundraising base extends outside of the state to D.C., where he’s cultivated relationships with some of the country’s most politically active groups and companies, along with members of Congress. His fundraising ability is one of the the reasons why he didn’t draw a primary opponent this year, and hasn’t received any serious competition in the general either.

People are already discussing what his next move will be. It is well known that he covets a seat in the United States Senate. But if one doesn’t open up by 2018, does he take a crack at governor? Regardless, it’s clear that he hasn’t hit his ceiling yet.
