Some guys leave elected office and are able to make a lot of money largely due to the position they once held. Then there are guys like Windom who roll up their sleeves and flat out outwork the competition.

The 27th Lt. Governor of Alabama has had an impressive run since he lost his lone bid for governor in 2002. He has absolutely unparalleled relationships in every nook and cranny of state government. He’s a legendary fundraiser. He somehow manages to have a hand in every major issue that comes through the legislature. And he knows the rules of the legislative process better than most of the folks actually serving in the legislature.

He served two full terms in the senate before becoming the first Republican Lt. Gov. since reconstruction in 1998. In 2000 he was selected to co-chair the Bush-Cheney Campaign in Alabama. His wife is also a judge on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals.

Windom’s current client list is extensive, including AT&T, The Nursing Homes Association and Huntsville Hospital.
