Alabama and Georgia will face off in the regular season in 2024 for the first time since the 2020 season, and we now know the date and time that the game will be played.

The Bulldogs will head to Tuscaloosa on September 28, 2024 in week four, under the lights at Bryant-Denny Stadium, with a 6:30 p.m. kickoff.

The last time Georgia came to Bryant-Denny Stadium ended in a 41-24 win for the Crimson Tide, but it was during the reduced crowd COVID season of 2020. The matchup next season will surely be one of the toughest tickets of the entire regular season.

Another interesting wrinkle is the fact that with the ending of the SEC on CBS contract, the game will be played on ABC. Ordinarily, we have become accustomed to the fact that when two titans of the SEC face off, it almost being a guarantee for the game to be played on CBS and likely with a 2:30 CT kickoff.

However, with the switch to ESPN and ABC beginning next season, there has been much speculation that the primetime slot will actually be at night rather than during the afternoon.

Either way, while change is coming to the conference, one thing that will not change is fantastic matchups like this one on a weekly basis.
