#19 – Blaine Galliher

19_squareBlaine Galliher | Senior Advisor | Gov. Robert Bentley

Galliher has been a trusted voice in the governor’s inner circle since accepting his cabinet appointment as Legislative Director in the summer of 2012.

His background made him the ideal candidate for the legislative director’s job. Almost two decades in the legislature, House Rules Chairman, battle scars from both legislative and political fights — the fit really couldn’t have been any better. Unsurprisingly, Bentley’s decision to tap him to run the Administration’s legislative operation was universally applauded in Montgomery.

Gaillher is widely respected on both sides of the aisle, especially among those who worked closest with him while he was in the House. He quietly has a keen grasp of how to navigate the politics, personalities and diverse interests that make up the treacherous waters of the state house.

His move to the governor’s office immediately bolstered the Administration’s ability to influence the legislative process.
